Andrea J Moore is from Orange County, California and studied guitar with Grammy winning guitarist Larry Carlton. She played in many bands in the Los Angeles punk and death rock scene, later which was coined by her and some friends "Gothic". In 1982 she started the band Twist of Fate which played Gothic Death rock in LA and some touring for eleven years. Twist of Fate played shows with bands such as The Red Temple Spirits, GWAR, Jane's Addiction, Screams For Tina, Shadow Project, The Pygmy Love Circus and many more. Members of Twist of Fate included William Faith (Faith and The Muse) and George Romero (Black Flag). She was both the lead guitarist and lead vocalist for Twist of Fate. She also studied voice with Ron Anderson, who also was the the coach of Alicia Keys and Madonna. She recorded an album with producer John Pillay at Track Records North Hollywood called Twisted Faith that was not released due to a dispute with a record label. She later discovered techno-industrial and dark wave music working with rant radio assisting Normality with Vin K-Otic. After that she decided to learn to make techno industrial dark music, and now has had the project band Shotgun Genetics for seven years. Shotgun Genetics has released two albums and several singles. The latest album is called Tomb of Wild Geese. She is known as the first female death rock guitarist in Los Angeles. She is still currently writing and producing new electronic dark wave music under the name of Shotgun Genetics and Andrea Moore.
