50 Book Challenge

The fifty book challenge originated elsewhere on the net and was brought to alt.gothic by Lunacia. It basically involves reading at least fifty books in a year and keeping a list of them.

Many netgoths undertaking this challenge chose to post their short book reviews and book lists to alt.gothic, thereby encouraging literary discussion and making it easy to exchange recommendations.

The fifty book challenge spawned many similar listing threads, including the 50 beer challenge, the 50 whisky challenge, the 50 fruit and vegetables challenge, and the 50 goth challenge. Rumours of the existence of a 50 hoax challenge were never confirmed.
