Bread Wars
Every now and again, alt.gothic descends into Flame Wars. When netgoths want to do battle without turning up the heat quite so much, they often choose to launch a bread war. Bread wars can involve all sorts of bread and bread-like baked goods, with creativity winning respect. They generally involve the use of such items to stab or beat opponents, or as missiles.
Bread Wars are usually restricted to the virtual world but have occasionally broken out in meat life. Beware - real life bread wars can result in real injury, as several netgoths found when they were left bleeding after a battle at the Whitby Gothic Weekend of April 2007.
Most likely to start a Bread War are Perkygoffs, with Papa Pan and his team of trained Babygoffs representing a particularly formidable battle force.
