[http://www.masochisticreligion.co.uk/ Masochistic Religion] consisted of members are Mitchell D. Krol, Mopa Dean, D'errol Flynn, Martine Matthews, Harry Simpson and Julie Seddon Faris. Mitch Krol was the flamboyant front man who provided a promo pic of himself for the [[C4 | Convergence IV]] programme that featured full frontal nudity.

This was the opening band for the [[C4 | Convergence IV]] weekend in Toronto,ON in 1998. They started the set by carrying Mitch onstage in a coffin, and he later set a bible on fire during the set. Most people seemed a little taken aback by the over-the-top performance and for the rest of the weekend they were referred to as "The Gothic Gwar".
