Voltaire has performed at more Convergence events than any other artist. He appeared on stage at Convergence VI, Convergence XII, Convergence XIV and Convergence XVIII. He was was also part of the unofficial "C7 rescue" events in New York City, NY in 2001.

He has also performed at Projektfest the Blacksun festival, Eccentrik Festival and at Whitby Gothic Weekend.

Voltaire’s music is hard to classify. It is probably most commonly defined as "goth cabaret". It has roots in European folk and the lyrics are often comedic. He is a regular performer at science fiction conventions, and his album Banned on Vulcan is a tribute to the Star Trek television shows. He is also an artist who has produced a graphic novel called Oh My Goth!.
