[Voltaire] has to date performed at more Convergence events than any other artist. He has appeared on stage at C6 in Seattle, WA in 2000 and at C12 in New Orleans, LA in 2006. He was was also part of the unofficial "C7 rescue" events in New York City in 2001 and is slated to be a part of the lineup at the upcoming C14 in Tampa, FL.
Voltaire’s music is hard to classify. It is probably most commonly defined as "goth cabaret". It has roots in European folk and the lyrics are often comedic. He is a regular performer at science fiction conventions, an his album Banned on Vulcan is a tribute to the Star Trek television shows. He is also an artist who has produced a graphic novel called Oh My Goth!.
